Synopsis by Hal Erickson
All that remains of the bodies of three murder victims is an unidentifiable residue. This bizarre occurrence is what brings Mulder and Scully to Richmond, VA, where they are greeted by the curiously timorous chemical researcher Dr. Chester Banton (Tony Shalhoub). Before long, the two agents are painfully aware of the reason Dr. Banton is literally afraid of his own shadow. Written by Vince Gilligan, "Soft Light" was first broadcast on May 5, 1995.
