Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Director and writer András Jeles based this film on the 1883 Tragedy of Man by Imre Madách, an overview of the pitfalls of history as explained by Satan to Adam and Eve so they can have some idea about what they started with that apple. As the tale progresses, Adam Adam personifies one of the central characters in each historical "event," materializing as a Greek general, a crusader, a Czech astronomer, and Danton during the French Revolution, among other lives as well. The film's unusual central casting quirk is that all of the major roles are played by children - including a little girl as Satan.
