Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this children's film, India's foremost director Satyajit Ray tells the story of Mukul, whose prolific drawings appear to relate to a previous life as they depict things and places he has never seen. Together with a parapsychologist, he attempts to discover the site of this previous incarnation. Because his quest for this place (a site encrusted with gold and jewels) is reported in the paper, a group of thieves follow along. Luckily for Mukul, a private detective, mindful that people like this might latch onto the boy, is also following him.
