Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This fantasy is based upon a Finnish epic poem Kalevala. It tells the tale of a magical mill that produces grain, salt, and gold for a mythical land. A witch queen covets the mill, but her plan for getting it is thwarted by a daring hero. Enraged, the witch steals the sun. As a result, everything in the land is frozen beneath a blanket of snow and ice. The land is saved when the sacred harps are played. Their sound turns the witch to stone and thaws out the land.
