Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Lum the Forever is another feature-length chapter of the ongoing Japanese cartoon series Urusei Yatsura. Created for the comic pages by Rumiko Takahashi, Urusei Yatsura details the fantastic adventures of libidinous teenager Ataru Morobishi and bikini-clad outer-space princess Lum, who lives in Ataru's closet and carries on a tempestuous relationship with the boy. In this installment, Lum and her Earthbound pals decide to make a movie. Meanwhile, a cherry tree is being chopped down in the vicinity. This ecological outrage causes Lum to lose her magical powers; her friends do their best to win them back for her. For the uninitiated, Lum the Forever may seem confusing and overbaked. But don't feel bad: even fans of the series had trouble following the plot twists in this one!
