Honoring the wishes of their wealthy parents, Gregory Thorne (William Russell) and Marta Milbanke (Charlotte Burton) become engaged. It is clear, however, that Gregory and Marta are incredibly bored with each other and with their privileged existence. To add some spice to their relationship, the young couple cook up a phony kidnapping scheme, with themselves as the victims. But the joke turns serious when Gregory and Marta are abducted for real by Count Eckstrom (Carl Stockdale), a sinister German spy. While imprisoned together, the hero and heroine realize how much they truly love each other. Managing to escape, they thwart the villain's plan to blow up a munitions warehouse and return home safe and sound just in time for their wedding.
