Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Ron Ormond (The Exotic Ones) directed this jungle exploitation film about a man who falls in love with beautiful Velda (Jacqueline Fontaine), who was raised by gorillas. Despite its clearly fictional framework, much of the film consists of real and staged documentary footage, all the better to display numerous topless native women (many of them clearly American) and "thrilling" wild animal scenes. A great deal of the footage was taken from other films, notably Ormond's own Black Panther, and there are many people jumping around in gorilla costumes. Ormond and his family made exploitation features throughout the next decade before turning out some of the most bizarre religious films ever produced.
