Synopsis
"Unfinished Country" tracks developments in Haiti as the chronically strife-torn Caribbean nation prepares for a November presidential election. For starters, 4.5 million voters must be registered. Meanwhile, followers of exiled president Jean-Bertrand Aristide are resitive, and political violence flares. "Murphy's law is probably working overtime in Haiti," sighs election official Patrick Fequiere. Following the film, host Bill Moyers interviews James Dobbins (RAND Corp.).
