Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Henri Vidal plays a philandering businessman in What Price Murder?, while Mylene Demongeot is his secretary/lover. Vidal's wife Isa Miranda is proving troublesome, so the businessman and the secretary conspire to commit murder. Crimes like these are supposed to be perfect, but never really are, particularly when two selfish and high-strung personalities are involved. Originally titled Une Manche et la Belle, What Price Murder? is another first-rate French effort from Turkish-born director Henri Verneuil, who successfully alternated between thrillers and slapstick comedies for nearly three decades.
