Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Major Crofton (Charles Ogle wearing a hideous white wig) owns a plantation during the glory days of the South. A birthday party is being thrown there for his 18-year-old daughter, Lelia (Mary Fuller). She has two suitors -one, Burleigh Mavor (Milton Sills) is the one she really loves; the other, Steve Daubney (Paul Panzer), she doesn't. While the festivities are going on, a strange, ragged woman appears and collapses. Lelia ministers to her, not realizing that it's her mother (Clara Byers), who she believed to be dead. But Daubney has overheard a conversation the woman had with Lelia's "mammy" and realizes the truth. He tries to use this information to coerce the Major into giving him his daughter. But Lelia is able to uncover the events surrounding her mother's downfall and marry the man she wants.
