Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Rubye de Remer, a brunette former Follies dancer, starred in this silly silent melodrama directed by French-born Marcel Perez. Rubye played Helen Chapelle, who offers herself in marriage to the winner of a poker game in order to cover her brother's gambling debts. The winner proved to be gallant Bruce Devereaux (Walter Miller), but their subsequent marriage proves to be a fake. Devastated, Helen leaves for New York City where she weds her old music teacher (Fred C. Jones). Like all her other men, the musician proves to be a cad who leaves Helen high and dry with a young son to care for. Bruce suddenly reappears, explaining that he never knew the marriage was fake. Helen's husband rather conveniently kills himself, leaving the merry widow to once again walk down the aisle with Bruce, this time for real. Better known for his serial work opposite Allene Ray, mustachioed Walter Miller later became a popular "boss villain" in B-Westerns.
