Not to be confused with the more popular Three Up, Two Down, the British sitcom Two Up, Two Down was set in a tiny Manchester neighborhood. Having just purchased their first house, Stan (Norman Tipton) and Sheila (Claire Faulconbridge) found that their domicile was already occupied by a pair of squatters, Jimmy (Paul Nicholas) and Flo (Su Pollard). Thanks to the inscrutable local housing laws, the two couples were forced to share the house, with the expected comic results. The six episodes of Two Up, Two Down were shown by BBC1 from May 11 to June 15, 1979.
