Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This football picture was not one of Charles Ray's best vehicles. Ray plays Chester Burnett, the star of the college football team, who is forced to work as a milkman when his father's business begins to fail. He tells no one about his job, not even his sweetheart, Ruth Turner (Mary Anderson). Because his job and his classes take up so much of his time, he is forced to drop out of the football team. The team starts losing all its games, but Chester still refuses to either return or explain why he won't come back. Finally the yell leader, Angel (Truman van Dyke), discovers his secret and spreads it to the student body. He loses face with the other students, and when Ruth finds out, she breaks up with him. When the big game comes up, Chester decides to play after all. He's not up to par, however, until he receives a note from his girl telling him that all is forgiven. After that he can't be stopped and he leads his team to victory.
