Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The title of this TLC cable reality series referred to its star, country singer Tanya Tucker. In the company of her three children, Grayson, Presley, and Layla, Tucker was seen going about her daily routine both at home and at work. The show demonstrated the stern but loving manner in which Tanya oversaw her kids' domestic duties, and her take-charge attitude in the recording booth while putting together her newest album. Imbuing the series with dramatic thrust and tension was the fact that Tucker was making a career comeback after devoting a number of years and a considerable amount of energy to being a single mom. Refreshingly, no effort was made to depict the protagonist as infallible; throughout the 26-week series, she had to make a number of difficult decisions, not all of them the right ones, and at times she admitted that it was just "too much." Happily, the kids were always able to keep Tucker "grounded and on track," or so proclaimed the series' press release. Tuckerville was first telecast on October 8, 2005.
