Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Scottish director Johnny Barrington helms the fictional short Trout. The work follows Alex (Jamie Michie) and Mari (Lorna Craig), a thoroughly bored, working-class pair of live-in lovers, who reside in a cramped caravan in western Scotland. Alex works at a fish farm, and his job security is shaky - he's fired, then hired back, then fired again, then hired back again - which takes a debilitating toll on his relationship with Mari. He regards the last re-hire as a definitive cause for celebration, but fails to anticipate a bizarre, off-the-wall series of circumstances involving a bovine, a defective light socket and a superhero outfit.
