Synopsis by Betsy Boyd
Produced by The Discovery Channel, Treasures of a Lost Voyage is a lighthearted documentary that follows a group of industrious explorers and their underwater robot on a search for millions of dollars' worth of lost gold at the site of a historic shipwreck. In 1857, the S.S. Central America sank somewhere off the Carolina Coast, with supposedly tons of gold bullion in cargo. The team of enthusiastic adventurers uncovers a certain long-forgotten stash, and the documentary camera follows them every step of the way, even to the bottom of the sea.
