Rick Steves devotes the 11th episode of Travels in Europe to a journey through the French-speaking corner of Switzerland. Here he visits Lake Geneva, as well as the fabled Chateau Chilon of Lord Byron (with appropriate Byronic quotations). Then it's off to medieval Murten and finally the Swiss capitol of Bern. This time around, Rick runs the gamut from a stopover at the Roman amphitheater in Avenches to a gourmet's tour of a chocolate factory. In addition, the host provides helpful advice on using a rental car in Europe -- and on keeping a lookout for the Continent's "countless skilled maniac drivers."
