Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Casting off from the Irish port of Dun Laoghaire, host Rick Steves sails the Irish Seas to the coast of North Wales. Here he visits castles dating back to the Reign of Edward I, then climbs to the summit of Snowden and the depth of a slate mine. There's also a medieval-style banquet, replete with costumed lords, ladies, lackeys, wenches, and honey wine. This 16th episode of Travels in Europe With Rick Steves is capped by a trip to a Welsh seacoast village, on whose shores many an unfortunate sailing vessel has met her doom.
