Launching the fourth season of his popular PBS travel series Travels in Europe With Rick Steves, the host advises the viewer that he's going to be traveling "beyond Europe" from time to time. Indeed, this 40th episode of the series begins in the Holy Land, at the top of the Mount of Olives. Rick's journey through Israel includes a few reverent moments at the Masada fortress, a stopover at a Dead Sea kibbutz, and, of course, a tour of Tel Aviv. Also on the itinerary is the fortified Crusade-era city of Akko, and, finally, the Sea of Galilee.
