Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Bidding a fond farewell to Scotland, Rick Steves devotes the 18th episode of Travels in Europe to a walking tour of rural England, from the cobbled village of Stow-on-the-Wold to the thatched huts of Cotswold. Among the many attractions are the gardens in Chipping Campden and Avebury's ceremonial circles (complemented by a thumbnail description of the mythology attending those circles). Rick winds up his tour in Bath, a community that has remained virtually unchanged for centuries.
