Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Tourniquet is an unusual metal band that melds quirky song structures with heartfelt lyrics. This release features two complete concerts by the band. The first is a 1991 show that is supposedly the first ever gig by the band. That show mostly features material from their first album Stop the Bleeding including "Ark of Suffering," "The Test for Leprosy," and "Harlot Widow and the Virgin Bride." A 2001 show finds the band in strong form as they deliver "White Knucklin' the Rosary," "Broken Chromosomes," "A Dog's Breakfast," and a few more songs. The DVD release of these shows includes the controversial video for "Ark of Suffering."
