Synopsis by Nathan Southern

The adult contemporary band Toto -- initially comprised of Steve Porcaro, Jeff Porcaro, David Paich, Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball, Robert Toteaux, and David Hungate -- hit the stratosphere with its 1982 Grammy-award winner for best album, Toto IV. This effort (the group's best-known EP) spawned the multi-platinum singles "Rosanna" and "Africa" -- but the band had already released several critically championed EPs by that point: 1978's Toto (with the best selling-single "Hold the Line"), 1979's Hydra, and 1981's Turn Back -- all of which sported anthems that became iconic benchmarks of early '80s soft rock. The group continued to tour over the following decades, despite a series of slight critical disappointments and the death of one of its key members, Jeff Porcaro. Toto experienced a striking renaissance on Valentine's Day 2006, however, with the issue of the critically-championed EP Falling in Between. The home video release Toto: Greatest Hits Live and More compiles footage from the band performing live in concert over the years at concert halls, arenas, and stadiums -- Toto's most successful venue. Numbers include: "Rosanna," "Africa," "I Won't Hold You Back," "English Eyes," "Afraid to Love," "I'll Be Over You," "Little Wing," and more.
