Synopsis by Sarah Sloboda
Tori Amos, prodigious pianist and lyricist, has been recognized for both her artistry and presence as an artist. Deep-reaching and gracefully poetic, her sound has grown to represent the object of association for young women of the 1990s. Little Earthquakes is the visual accompaniment to her same-named album (both released in 1992), and it features several music videos of songs on the album. Amos' philosophical commentary is interpolated between the videos and small-venue live performances from the Little Earthquakes tour, presenting a three-dimensional experience of the artist.
