This follow-up to the 1970 TV series Tomorrow's Joe finds Joe a professional boxer with an unfortunate past: after overcoming poverty and delinquency to become a successful athlete, he is now taking a leave of absence from the sport because he accidentally killed his opponent, a very famous boxer, in the ring six months before. The time has come, however, for Joe to strap his gloves on once more and see if his career can recover.
