Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The line most frequently spoken in wedding vows takes on chilling undertones in this documentary exploring the plight of abused women from all walks of life. From falling in love to suffering under the heavy hands of their disturbed spouses, murder, court room trial, and - in some cases - ultimate freedom, each woman details the progression of their terror in vivid and grueling detail. While some folks argue that women can easily walk out of abusive relationships anytime they please, this compelling study in the cycle of abuse shows how young woman can be isolated from their families and financially stripped to the point where they have precious few options for truly escaping their past. This is the point when survival instinct prevails, and the victim lashes out against their attacker in one final, fatal act of desperation.
