This documentary examines one of America's most interesting popular counter-cultures: Deadheads, the diverse travelling bands of fans that follow the Grateful Dead on their tours. Deadheads have been around for almost 30 years. They are comprised of a wide cross-section of society including college kids, yuppies, the homeless, aging hippies, and even children. Also examined in the film are greedy vendors who sell the tie-dyed tee shirts at concerts. The effects of stronger drug laws upon traditionally stoned concert goers are also observed. Included in the film are interviews with Deadheads, vendors, and others. Also included are original songs penned by Deadheads.
