Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Innocent Linnie Carter (Mary Fuller) works as a cabaret entertainer along with her friend Irma (Finita DeSophia). The political boss of the ward, Harry Sullivan (Joseph W. Gerard), takes an interest in her, which she naively assumes to be sincere. He proposes and sets up a mock wedding ceremony, which is halted by the wiser Irma and pal Billy Wood (Clifford Gray), who is working as a clown. Then Linnie falls for district attorney Bryce (Augustus Phillips), and they plan to get married. But Sullivan is shot by gangsters, and as he is dying, he lies about his association with Linnie. Bryce chooses to believe the worst about her, so she turns to the clown, Wood, as the only real man in her circle. This film was based on a magazine story by Wallace Irwin.
