Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Petite May McAvoy stars in this sentimental drama. Jenny Martin (McAvoy) works in a doughnut shop to support her widowed mother (Fanny Midgely) and younger brother, Dan (Burwell Hamrick). Dan can't afford warm clothes, so when her boss drops some money, she uses it to buy Dan a sweater. The boss discovers the theft and insists that Jenny return the money immediately or face arrest. To help her out Dan, who has gotten involved with some local hoodlums, tries to steal it. He is caught and sent to reform school. While he is away, Jenny opens up her own doughnut shop and becomes far more successful than her boss ever was. An Italian vegetable vendor, Tomasso Barillo (Raymond McKee), falls in love with Jenny, but she refuses to let him romance her until Dan returns from the reform school. Luckily, the boy gets out early for his good behavior, so Jenny hands the shop over to him and weds Tomasso.
