In this British black comedy, a naive young woman finds herself entangled with the frequently sleazy movers and shakers of contemporary London after a mysterious young man she met at a local hot-spot is found dead the next day. The authorities list the cause of death as drowning, but Juliette doesn't believe it and so sets out to solve the case by accosting three prime suspects--a game show hostess, a bankrupt businessman fleeing from his angry pusher, and a liberal politician trying to hide from the press after they learn about his ex-boyfriend's palimony suit.
