First-time filmmaker Michael Burns directs the independent documentary Third Party: Political Alternatives in the Age of Duopoly. A look at the major third-party alternatives to the Democratic and Republican parties, the film includes commentary from scholars like Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn. in addition to interviews with leaders from various third parties, including Libertarian, Green, Reform, Labor, and Workers World. Third Party also contains the personal story of Green Party member Mike DeRosa and his 2002 quest to win a seat in the Connecticut Senate.
