Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This feature was based on the idea that it takes three generations to ruin a successful business. Alden Van Dusen (Mahlon Hamilton) is in charge of the company founded by his grandfather, but because of his fast-living social life, he runs it into the ground. The firm's other partners are equally useless, except for Cuthbert Steele (Jack Pratt), who is resourceful but unscrupulous. He suggests underhanded means to save the company, but Van Dusen still has some sense of honor and disagrees with the plan. He decides the only way out is suicide, but he is saved from drowning himself. Instead of returning home, however, he disguises himself and heads out West in an attempt to make good. While he's there Van Dusen discovers that his wife (Betty Blythe) has been swindled out of her inheritance and is about to marry someone else. He heads back East, halts the marriage plans and attacks the nefarious Steele. The hospitalized Steele rights his wrongs, and the Van Dusens are reunited.
