Directed by Arkad Tsineman, The World's Young Ballet examines the world of international ballet competitions for the younger set. Featured dancers are a young Mikhail Baryshnikov, who, before defecting from the Soviet Union, was a central figure in the Moscow competitive dance scene of 1969. Ballet greats Maya Plisetskaya and Alicia Alonso act as featured as judges in this tense documentary.
