Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Wine Girl is pretty Bona (Carmel Myer), who toils away as kitchen help in the home of her wealthy uncle. Her years of hard work are rewarded when Uncle dies and leaves the heroine his entire estate. Villainous Chico (E. Alyn Warren), who has long lusted after Bona, proposes marriage, and when she refuses he tries to take her by force. But visiting American Frank Harris (Kenneth Harlan) rescues the girl and marries her himself, having earlier proven that he's no mere fortune hunter (not when he's got oodles of money of his own). Though most of The Wine Girl was eminently predictable, a few surprises were thrown in here and there to keep the audience awake.
