Synopsis by Sarah Welsh

This emotional and bracing documentary, the second volume in award-winning producer Arnold Shapiro's Trilogy of Tribute, honors the fallen soldiers of 20th century wars (particularly World War II) who lie in unmarked graves on the battlefields of Europe and Asia, their bodies never found or identified. Writer and director Carol L. Fleisher has chosen six young men to represent the many thousands sacrificed, and she presents their moving stories through their letters, interviews with loved ones and fellow soldiers, and archival footage of the battles in which they fought. Ideal for educational use, this documentary series is a worthy tribute to those individuals -- the sons, fathers, and lovers -- who gave their lives in the service of America's citizens.
