Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Presented on Britain's Channel 4 in the wee small hours of the morning, The Tottenham Two could be described as the live-action equivalent to America's Beavis and Butthead. Ashmead Sohoye and Raf Udin starred as Ronni and Jaz, a pair of unemployed Londoners. Spending most of their time hanging out in a North London Chinese restaurant, the two protagonists cracked feeble jokes about "the system" and hatched all sorts of moneymaking schemes that went absolutely nowhere. Though primitively produced and photographed, The Tottenham Two nonetheless possessed a rough-hewn appeal, and managed to remain on the air for two years (1998-2000), grinding out 12 half-hour episodes.
