Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
A typical early silent Indian melodrama, The Tie of the Blood featured Harold Lockwood as Deer Foot, a Cherokee brave who outwits his half-breed rival (Al E. Garcia) for the love of Indian maiden Red Wing (Amy Trask). Written by Hampton Del Ruth, the brother of producer/director (Roy Del Ruth), this one-reel Selig Polyscope presentation was filmed on-location at the Indian School at Carlisle, PA.
