Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The Sons of Satan are a gang of crooks headed by the amoral Henry Normand (Gerald Ames). He also goes by the name Paul de Villereau and runs a detective agency, which helps him with his blackmail schemes. Normand wants actress Winifred West (Blanche Bryan) -- no matter that she's already engaged to Lord Desford (Hayford Hobbs). Normand has had an affair with Desford's stepmother, and he uses her to get his hands on some jewels. The heist is blamed on Winifred, but her stage manager, Dick Fenton (Charles Rock), is convinced that she has been the victim of a plot. While Desford is trying -- unfortunately with the help of de Villereau's agency -- to find the real culprit, Fenton comes closer to the truth. He disguises himself as the detective, but is captured by the gang. He and Desford's stepmother are bound and gagged in an oil-soaked shack that is ready to be set on fire, while the gang makes off with Winifred. But Desford has finally gotten wise to the whole thing and saves everyone. Nornand commits suicide by smoking a poisoned cigarette, while Desford and Winifred are reunited. Even in its era, this was an old-time melodrama, but it still made for a thrilling picture.
