Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Raymond Chapelle (William Faversham), sometimes known as "Two Ace," once studied for the priesthood, but wound up becoming a gambler instead. After winning large sums of money in a Northwest mining town, he is ordered out of town. Before heading east, Chapelle gives back the money and visits a man who gives him a sum to bring to his mother in Quebec. In the town of Marleau, Chapelle locates home of the man's mother, Madam Blondin (Lule Warrenton). She is asleep, but her other son demands the money. When Chapelle refuses to hand it over, a fight ensues. Madam Blondin wakes up in the middle of the fight, and shoots, killing her own son. Chapelle escapes into a storm and finds Father Aubert (Pedro de Cordoba), who has been knocked unconscious by a falling tree. He changes clothes with the priest and takes him to the Presbytaire, where they are cared for by Madam Lafleur and her daughter, Valerie (Lucy Cotton). When Aubert awakens, the police come and accuse him of murdering Madam Blondin's son. Since he has lost his memory, he does not know who he is or what he's done. Chapelle allows the innocent man to be taken away, but it eats away at him, especially because he has won Valerie's love. He is finally ready to go to the authorities, but just then Madam Blondin is found, dying on the church steps, and she confesses she killed her son.
