Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Melville, an express clerk (Clarence Burton), is trying to save up enough money to send his son Frank (Art Acord) to college. Frank, meanwhile, has been courting Mary (Nita Davis), whose father (William Hooser) wants her to marry his assistant Bert (Lawrence Peyton). Frank overhears his father telling his mother (Mollie Shafer) that he only needs 200 more dollars, but he doesn't hear the reason for the money. So when Melville comes up 200 dollars short at work, Frank thinks he has stolen the money. In reality, he dropped it and it was picked up and buried by a dog belonging to Sheriff Addison (Otto Nelson). To right the wrong he believes his father did, Frank leaves a note taking responsibility and goes off to make the money back. After earning the money by working for an old miner, he returns only to find out that the money has been found. But Mary is being terrorized by the spurned Bert, who is trying to break into her home. Frank goes to save her and chases Bert away. But when he tries to enter the cabin, Mary thinks that it is still Bert and she shoots. To her horror, she finds it is Frank, and she has killed him. This Mustang Western melodrama should not be confused with a film by the same name that Selig released a couple of months later.
