This predictable and uninspired Greenwich Village drama had little to recommend it, even in the company of other mediocre programmers. Artist John Courtney (John Hopkins) rescues Mignon, a waif (Louise Du Pre). Struck by her unadorned beauty, he convinces her to pose for him. The resulting painting brings him success, and he is overwhelmed by the fast society crowd which adopts him. The attentions of art patroness Marion Wesley (Dorothea Teal) cause him to neglect Mignon, who remains true to him in spite of her hurt feelings. When Courtney is commissioned to duplicate his masterpiece for millionaire Stanley Page (J. Francis O'Reilly), Mignon moves into Page's mansion. Instead of finishing his work, however, the artist loses himself in his wild lifestyle. Page is found dead, and his safe ransacked; Courtney, who is missing, becomes the prime suspect. It is up to the ever-faithful Mignon to clear his name and rescue him from his dissolute ways.
