Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by Din Zvi-Riklis, Postwoman centers around Levana, a lonely postwoman whose off-time is spent nursing her sickly mother and pining away for a man. Unable to admit her true identity, she pretends to be an English professor in a letter correspondence with one of the people (Moshe Ivgi) on her mail route. She creates a fantasy of herself and their potential relationship through these mailings, but eventually must re-evaluate her actions. Postwoman won the award for Best Drama at the Jerusalem International Film Festival in 2002.
