Synopsis by Brian Gusse
A former opera star loses her voice, her career evaporates, and she takes to drinking heavily and blaming her son for her situation. In order to get revenge on her son, and to get her name back in the newspapers to try to resurrect her career, she tells the authorities that her son is responsible for the murder of a local playboy.
