Synopsis by Janiss Garza

With its Mexican stereotypes, this silent drama starring Viola Dana would be objectionable in the eyes of modern-day audiences. Nita (Dana) has grown up with a "low Mexican" couple, Manuel and Rosa Lopez (Paul Weigel and Marie Van Tassel). While fetching beer for Manuel, the girl is faced with the unwanted attention of Pedro Lupo (Monte Blue), the son of lawyer Ramon Lupo (Fred Huntley). When Pedro refuses to leave her alone, the all-American Bob Armstrong (Casson Ferguson) comes to her rescue. Armstrong has been sent out West by his father to make good, and he is living at the home of wealthy ranch owner Clara Hawkins (Edith Chapman). When Nita refuses to marry Pedro, the Lopez couple lock her in a room, but Armstrong helps her to escape. The Mexicans claim that Armstrong has compromised Nita, and the sheriff forces them to marry. Armstrong puts Nita in a convent, but she escapes, and disguised as a boy, goes to work on the Hawkins ranch. She is found out, and then it is revealed that she is Clara's long-lost daughter. Nita is reunited with both her mother and Armstrong.
