Although they began life as a rhythm and blues act,the Moody Blues first attained popularity in the late '60s and early '70s as the ultimate psychedelic counterpoint between rock & roll and classical forms of musical expression, with such lush, deeply lyrical, and symphonic ballads as "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Morning." Although the group encountered mixed success in the late '70s and early '80s, they found two of their biggest-charting singles two decades after they first took root -- in 1986 -- with "Your Wildest Dreams" and "I Know You're out There Somewhere," from the album The Other Side of Life. By this time, the band had become one of the most imminently successful nostalgia rock acts in history, with a following that only rivaled the Grateful Dead in size and number of fans. Now, those fans can enjoy the Blues again and again, with the home-video release Moody Blues: Your Wildest Dreams. This compilation features the Blues in two versions of the title track -- the original music video and a live concert performance. Also included are the music videos for "I Know You're out There Somewhere," "The Other Side of Life," and "Running Out of Love."
