Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Documentary filmmakers Allan Mondell and Cynthia Salzman Mondell take a closer look at an insidious new brand of anti-Semitism in this film examining the resurgence of hate in 21st Century Europe. Sixty years after the Holocaust, Jews all across Europe are continuing to feel the sting of anti-Semitism as hate speech subtly works its way into political demonstrations, media reports, internet discussions, and social situations that would otherwise be considered completely harmless. Disturbed at the seeming resurgence in anti-Semetic rhetoric, the filmmakers allow Jews from various backgrounds in six European countries to tell stories of prejudice in the workplace, desecrated cemeteries, and attacks on their neighborhoods in hopes that by exposing the problem they can raise awareness and prevent another historical tragedy.
