Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Helen Ogden (Dorothy Kelly) inherits a mine after her father (Logan Paul) is killed in an explosion set off by his disgruntled ex-partner Gregory Drake (Edward Elkas). The girl decides to use her money to help Dr. Granger (Charles Kent) in his work with the poor. One of the unfortunates is Jack Burton (Evart Overton). Dr. Granger helps him get a job as a reporter and he and Helen fall in love. Burton, however, feels that her great wealth stands between them. Drake's son, Richard (Gordon Gray), an investment swindler, teams up with his father to get the mine from Helen. By forging the sales document, they gain its ownership. Helen doesn't care, since she believes this now puts her on the same financial footing as Burton, but Dr. Granger convinces her that she must recover what is rightfully hers. She does so by becoming a stenographer for Drake, and with Burton's aid, unearthing the scam. After that, Dr. Granger convinces the pair to unite.
