Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Incorrectly reviewed under the title The Wrong Bottle, this D. W. Griffith melodrama was actually copyrighted as The Medicine Bottle. Applying iodine to a cut finger, a young mother absent-mindedly places the iodine bottle in close proximity with a medicine bottle. Inevitably, the woman's 10-year-old daughter is left home alone with instructions to take her medicine on the hour. In a panic, the woman rushes home to prevent her daughter from consuming the deadly iodine. The central situation of The Wrong Bottle was later parodied in the 1916 Keystone comedy Because He Loved Her, directed by former Griffith protégé Mack Sennett.
