Anchorman Ted Baxter (Ted Knight) is given the opportunity to leave Minneapolis for greener pastures when he's offered a better-paying job as a game show host in New York. Amazingly, Ted's boss Lou Grant (Ed Asner), who has long dreamed of divesting himself of the doltish newscaster, suddenly doesn't want Ted to leave. The "audition" broadcast of Ted's new gig, "The Fifty Thousand Dollar Steeplechase," is not to be missed. "Ted's Moment of Glory" originally aired on October 11, 1975.
