Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Despite the presence of his faithful sweetie, Georgette (Georgia Engel), anchorman Ted Baxter (Ted Knight) still regards himself as God's gift to women. And now that Mary (Mary Tyler Moore) has been promoted to producer of "The Six O'Clock News," dumb-dumb Ted regards her as worthy of his attentions. Though Mary manages to keep Ted at arm's length, that isn't the story he spreads to the rest of the newsroom. "An Affair to Forget" first aired on December 21, 1974.
