Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Stage ingenue Rosemary Davies, in her only film appearance, starred in this romantic melodrama written and directed by Frank P. Donovan. Davies played Mary Jane, a girl born out of wedlock whose mother, Alice (Florence Turner), attempts to offer her respectability by marrying a wealthy old colonel. As a young adult, Mary Jane meets and falls in love with reclusive writer Walter Butler (Maurice Costello). They are about to marry when he is revealed to be her natural father. There is a reconciliation between Walter and Alice, and Mary Jane returns to her old sweetheart (Harrison Ford). This long-lost silent drama also featured such well-known character actors as Paul Panzer, Richard Carle, Montagu Love, Walter McGrail, Gaston Glass, and Mary Thurman.
